The Formula for Success

I always tell people that I would never walk up to anyone and ask them for their formula to success – Richard Branson, Robert Kiyosaki, and even Jeff Bezos himself. ... why? Read on...

I don't need to get the formula from them, I know the formula. The formula to success is not some hidden secret that only a few people get to know, it's scientific. It doesn't discriminate and by the way... ha se ya makgowa. From my years of being a scholar and then a student right into my business career, I have continued to succeed and the principles that have guided my life worked then and continue to do so today. The rules of the game don't care about where you come from, your skin colour, whether you experienced apartheid or not – the rules of the game only care about you applying them. You want success? There are rules and there is a formula:

Dreams x Goals x Learning x Plans x Action = Success (DxGxLxPxA). That is the 101 on leading a successful life according to the world's number 1 coaching company, ActionCOACH Business Coaching – a firm that has built sustainable, successful businesses and entrepreneurs that thrive in any circumstance.

As an ActionCOACH Business Coach, I know the importance of following the system, of sticking to tried-and-tested measures and this formula is no different. I do, however, want focus on one element. Why? Because the overall formula needs every aspect and this is one people negate: Learning!

When you know better, you do better. But knowing better means learning, and as you all know I strongly advocate for reading. Reading, assimilating information and applying is one of the most powerful development tools that exist. It puts you one step ahead of other people. You need to learn before you earn. Look at shows like "I blew it". Before you blow whatever money comes your way, learn how to handle it. Education builds a solid foundation.

In closing, I want to say this: You're headed off into the University portion of the programme. Where you will learn valuable information that will help you build a solid foundation. Don't take it for granted, invest in learning. Invest in your success. Good luck and know we are here to support you through the journey
